Abstract:
A new monitoring system is proposed based on Baidu Maps JavaScript API for automatic weather stations. Though such techniques as region redrawing, icon customization, and elements switching, the Web page can display intuitively the status and the realtime data of automatic weather stations which provide great convenience to users. In order to improve the loading speed, the AJAX technology is used to access the remote SQL database, and the third API function is used to strengthen the display effect. This monitoring Web page has been applied successfully in the comprehensive atmospheric monitoring platform of the Guangdong Meteorological Observatory.
